About Me.

Hiya, I’m Lily

I’m the hand-poke tattoo artist behind Lil Pokes, based in North London. I specialise in hand-poked (stick and poke) tattoos for queer folks, first-timers, and anyone who wants a calmer, more personal tattoo experience.

My work ranges from bold geometric pieces, to intricate, fine-line ornamental tattoos. The kind that feel intimate, playful, and very you. No loud machines, no rush, no intimidating studio vibes. Just slow, careful pokes, done with intention (and good chat).

Lil Pokes is a queer-friendly, body-positive tattoo space where you don’t need to explain yourself or perform confidence. Whether you’re getting your first tattoo or adding to a growing collection, my goal is to make you feel comfortable, safe, and excited about what you’re putting on your body. All my practice is consent-based and focusses on you having a relaxing, memorable experience.

Why hand-poke?

Hand-poke tattoos (also known as stick and poke tattoos) are created without a machine, using a single needle to place ink gently into the skin. Many people find them less painful, easier to heal, and perfect for delicate designs. When done professionally, hand-poke tattoos are long-lasting, clean, and beautifully detailed.

I tattoo from North London, working with people who are looking for:

  • Queer tattoo artists in London

  • A relaxed, inclusive and memorable tattoo experience

  • A quieter tattoo experience than a busy studio

If you’re after a tattoo that feels thoughtful, soft, and made with care - you’re in the right place.
